Cake Auctions are Fun!!!

The rumors around town were that we had lost our minds…”A cake auction? Really?! Are they crazy? That’s never going to work.”

Ahhhhh but we had a plan, a vision, amazingly talented supporters, and (just in case) we ordered a ton of alcohol.

In all…we had 26 cakes up for “live” auction and at least 6 showcased in the “silent auction”.

The auction paddles were distributed early, the food was delivered often, alcohol was readily available and then it was time.

With the stage set, on a beautiful July evening…not-to-hot, not-to-cold…Ed Kirby and Barclay Prindle took the stage. What transpired was fun, at times exciting and all-in-all a night that all in attendance will long remember.

Truly it was a blast. The competitive juices were flowing and the smiles were infectious. We thank all in attendance…especially those that went home with multiple cakes!
